Today the 6th Grade was rewarded for their efforts in the classroom for going above and beyond and being good leaders.
Tomorrow is Kenwood Spirit Day! Please wear something to show your support for the Softball Team. We will have a pep assembly at 2:30pm. They will leave for Shawnee right after school.

We would like to recognize four of our outstanding Cross Country runners for their efforts earlier this week at the Cleora Cross Country event. Chris Clouse finished 5th over all, Ross Nichols finished 9th overall, Brinklea Foreman finished 5th overall and Bianka O'field finished 12th overall. All four received medals for their efforts! Congratulations to everyone that competed! Our Boys Team placed 3rd and our girls finished 5th.
The Cross Country State Meet will be held in Shawnee at Rock Creek High School on October the 3rd.

Mr. Kingfisher's Cherokee Cultures Class has been working on art that will be given away at a later date to deserving younger student here at school. Ceegyn Sapp and Brayleigh Tanner both are in the process of drawing, sketching and painting their art work freehanded. They are pictured here with what they have started. We will highlight these young and very talented artist with their finished artwork once they are done. We are very proud of you!

The ORES Softball Brackets have been released. We play Forest Grove at 10am and Oak Grove at noon. Both of these games are in Pool Play. The tournament takes place at Rock Creek High School in Shawnee Ok. this Saturday the 20th.

We would like to announce Tuesday September 23rd during our home softball game with Immersion that we will be recognizing our 2024/25 State Champion Girls Basketball Team and awarding them their State Championship Rings!! The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 5:30pm at the Woody Hair Community Softball Field. Our softball game starts at 4pm. We will also offer a free hog fry courtesy of Cherokee Councilmembers Clifton Hughes and Melvina Shotpouch. We will start serving food at 5pm, first come first serve till we run out of food. Our final event of the evening will be to recognize our current Softball Team and Coaches.
Please plan to attend this wonderful occasion as we celebrate our very gifted student athletes and all the exciting thigs they are accomplishing here at Kenwood!

Softball game just added! Friday 9/5, at Zion. The start time is 10:30am. The bus will leave from the school at 8:30am and will return around 3pm. This game was added due to missed games from the recent rain outs.
Softball Season is gong great as we enter the Labor Day Holliday Break. The Lady Indians will be back in action on Tuesday in Maryetta at 10am, 11am, and 2pm. Enjoy the Holiday Weekend from the Lady Indians and be safe!
Mrs. Tanner's First Grade Class has been working on sight words and building math foundations. As you can see they are building for the future. We are very excited about what is ahead for this group. Keep up the good work!
The Maryetta Festival has been rescheduled for a one day event next Tuesday the 2nd. We play at 10am Zion, 11am Briggs, and 2pm Maryetta. Thank you!

Tuesday February the 4th the Girls and Boys start their run for the Gold Ball in the Area Tournament at Peggs. The Girls play Leach at 7pm, the Boys play Shady Grove at 8pm.
In an effort to pack the gym and show support for our teams. The first 50 Adults that come to support us will receive free admission, thanks to a generous donation. Once the 50 tickets are gone they are gone! First come first serve. Kenwood staff members will start forming a line outside the main door just before 6pm. We will start handing out tickets at 6pm.
