We are so excited to have one of the first books! Thank you Rob and Mrs. Tanner! Rob Daugherty, Oakhill resident, has always collected baseball cards, beginning as a young child. Now, he has taken it to another level. He immersed himself in research to learn more about the first 28 Native American baseball players to play in the Major League, 50 years before Mr. Jackie Robinson. His book, "Native American Major Leaguers" (Copyright 2025 Society for American Baseball Research, Inc.) has now been published that highlights these players. Congratulations, Rob!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Student Athletes last night. We continue to have some of the largest crowds we have seen in recent years. This speaks to the hard work by all of our students. We would also like to thank our neighbors from Salina for coming to Kenwood last night. We truly appreciate you visiting Kenwood!

On Monday we will be distributing bags of food that have been prepared in advance to each student. The intent of this blessing is to provide food items for each of our students that can help fill the gap that the loss of SNAP might produce. We are extremely blessed here at our school to receive donations from community members and partners that help make this possible.

We will take a little extra time Monday in the pickup line and during our bus routes to ensure that this process is done as smooth and as safe as possible, we ask that you be patient with us during this time. We have several community volunteers who are going to help us with making this happen. Our desire is that each of our students receive a bag of food items that will help them eat an extra meal or snack after school throughout the week. We are currently looking at permanently adding a 3rd meal, however this will take a few days and this process should help us bridge the gap until that opportunity becomes available.
