We will take a little extra time Monday in the pickup line and during our bus routes to ensure that this process is done as smooth and as safe as possible, we ask that you be patient with us during this time. We have several community volunteers who are going to help us with making this happen. Our desire is that each of our students receive a bag of food items that will help them eat an extra meal or snack after school throughout the week. We are currently looking at permanently adding a 3rd meal, however this will take a few days and this process should help us bridge the gap until that opportunity becomes available.

In recognition of Mental Health Day on October the 10th and our continued commitment to providing as much support to our students as we can. Kenwood Public School has partnered with Life Centrics LLC and Mrs. Carol LaRue to provide our student athletes with continued access throughout basketball season to a Sports Psychologist. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and the extra support this will provide for our student athletes over the next few months as they manage the stresses of life, education, and extracurricular activities.
Here at Kenwood we are continually looking for ways to improve the lives of our students and their families. Continued access to a Sports Psychologist is one of the ways we can bring opportunities that are only available at the highest levels of sports to our student athletes here at Kenwood. We are currently looking at ways to extend this continued access into our total student population beyond the services that are already available.

Parents we are excited to announce this great opportunity free of charge to you during the first night of our upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences. Our Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled from 4pm-7pm on the evenings of Monday and Tuesday October the 13th and 14th. This event will take place in our School Cafeteria and will run during our conferences. If you schedule a time to meet with your teacher during the time of our class, just simply attend the scheduled PTC and then return to the class.
We are extremely excited about this opportunity and our partnership with Carol LaRue, Author, Speaker, Coach and Trainer. This is a great opportunity for you as parents to take advantage of learning techniques that can further enhance the education of your student/s. Space is limited and we need to have an idea for the materials that are needed for this hour and a half course, so we ask that you call the school office to signup, (918)-434-5799. Ask to be signed up for the free class "Mindful Parenting."
The Cross Country meet scheduled at Tenkiller for tomorrow has been moved to Wednesday the 24th. The running start at 10am. This is for the 5th-8th grade boys and girls.
We will move ALL of these events into the Woody Hair Community Gym. Thank you to the Woody Hair Community Building Staff for always working with us and making this transition possible. Please come out and celebrate with us tomorrow starting at 5pm.
