Congratulations to the Lady Indians and their coaches for winning the ORES D-3 State Championship last night at the Firelake Softball Complex in Shawnee. This team has had an outstanding season. Finishing their State Tournament run going 25-1 on the year. We are so very proud of all that they have accomplished and we look forward to what this group will do in the future. Their work ethic and drive is inspiring and they each have a bright future ahead of them.
We want to say a special thanks to the Coaches, Doo and Stephanie. Thank you for all the hard work that you have put in, the time and dedication is paying off. The girls played hard and never gave up. Thank you for teaching those core values.
To the parents and fans. You are what makes it possible! You continue to show up in large numbers no matter what time of day or night it is. This is a true testament to the community that has served this school for now 100 years. The Lord has truly blessed us. We here at Kenwood School consider ourselves very blessed to have such great support that provides monetary support, clothes, shoes, snacks, school supplies, support and much much more. We thank each and every one of you for your dedication to our students and staff. Not only this year, but for the past 100 years. So, it is with this that we would like to remind everyone in the community and the surrounding area, that we will now be celebrating TWO STATE CHAMPIONS on Tuesday the 23rd with a FREE to the public hog fry to show our appreciation to you as the supporters of our students and staff. This is a very small token and we can never totally repay you, but please come and join us as we play one last softball game at 4pm as an exhibition game with Immersion. We will serve food around 5pm. Recognitions to follow the games. The food is being donated by Councilmembers Clifton Hughes and Melvina Shotpouch.
